Why don’t you post comments on blogs? You know who you are Mr. and Mrs. closet reader. I’ve asked people I know about why they don’t ever post comments on blogs and some typical excuses include:
I don’t have anything to say.
My response: If you don’t have anything to say about anything you’ve got serious problems. If you don’t have a comment relating to the topic at hand you might as well say something to show that you’re reading.
I don’t want the whole world to see what I wrote.
My response: Why would you care about that? Look at me, I post poorly written half baked stuff on my blog all the time. Who cares about what people think!! It’s just fun to exchange ideas and to learn about the world even if it’s not the most eloquent of bros before prose.
I’m too busy to post comments on these so called blogs.
My response: If you were so busy you wouldn’t be looking at the blog in the first place. Also, it takes all of three seconds to post a comment.
I’d rather remain anonymous.
My response: So then post a comment and don’t use your real name you retard.
I have better things to do than post comments on your crappy blog.
My response: We all have better things to be doing but since you’re already reading this you might as well participate.
People should chime in to make a statement or least to say hello. Otherwise what the hell is the point of blogs? Blogs are about the two way exchange of information. Are you just so used to being told how you’re going to consume your media that you find posting comments strange or awkward? If you don’t want to participate in the process go back to reading the dinosaur blogs.

Ha! This post was awesome and long overdue. Guess I have no excuses now…expect to see my commenting to increase dramatically – it was that convincing! :-)
You’re absolutely right! I feel the same way with my blog. Not enough comments! Comments make it fun. People can challenge eachother, argue, fall in and out of love, build esteem, smash egos…endless possibilities!
Duncan,
Bros before Prose, that was brilliant. I still hope Nancy Jowet contracts a raging case of cunt warts.
I also think a spell check feature would boost the quantity of comments. I personally don’t post because my writing is often mistaken for a dyslexics 14 year olds.
sorry i am guilty as charged….:)
I am just lazy, and sometimes up too late….hehe
i will comment more dude
of the writing dyslexic olds 14 most is awesome the
I’LL NEVER POST A COMMENT ON YOUR BLOG! NEVER!!@#
Cunt warts? That can only be one man…

A challenge! I shall respond, as soon as I have time to write something WITTY. Must always be WITTY, here on the Internet.
I have to admit it – i’m a selfish blogger…. i love it when people comment on my site, and I always get involved in their comments – but i hardly comment elsewhere – bad comment karma maybe?

So funny and so true!
class is something a person has to work on
whoever made the referance to the female body part diminishes themself and obviously has a class problem..
to expose everyone to this type of comment lowers the class of the last minute site which is typically filled with powerful information reflective political intellectual pondering and brilliant creativ work from a host of individuals
if this were my site and its not i would edit the body part comment
perhaps this individual can browse a site that would feed this lack of class comment
now for my more important comments
a collage is a fascinating expose of collective thought and memory
for many years i encouraged my family to create collages on our family fridge in a variety of locations
one time we created a collage rebecca and i at the crystal pier it was entirely about fashion and at the end the fridge was covered with brilliant ideas most of which had been cut out of magazines
as well photos of activites and ideas and philosophical comments are constantly inspiring
one was posted on my fridge by jonathan about richard branson notes from his travels and his book about adventure now of course jonathan lives that life
your collages are your memories your memory is powerful because you can sort the good from the bad and hopefully edit and discard that which has no place in a vibrant interesting life
socrates said
an unexamined life is not worth living
so the next time you find yourself in a fight club mood or bored on a sunday or in general looking for inspiration or guidance or wisdom
think of this
what interests you ??
what fascinates you??
find the information cut and paste it on your fridge and watch how it seeps into your collective sub conscious state
years later you may find that the very thing you read about and admired in richard branson is the person you become
we are constantly bombarded by information leading us up or down a slippery slope in life
be careful what you read
be careful when you influence people
be careful with your thoughts
what you think is what you become in life
DREAM BIG..
