Mmmm online storage for everything
Microsoft is planning to use its server farms to offer anyone huge amounts of online storage of digital data. It even has a name for that future service: Live Drive. With Live Drive, all your information – movies, music, tax information, a high-definition videoconference you had with your grandmother, whatever – could be accessible from anywhere, on any device.
Google apparently has similar plans. An internal memo accidentally posted online in March spoke of company efforts to “store 100 percent of user data” and mentions an unannounced Net-storage system called GDrive.

Here’s Day 4 of my Video Blogging Week 2006 series.
This is another Flickr Tag video. It features all of the photos on Flickr tagged “interestingness1“. That tag is supposed to be used for people whose photos make it to the top of the “interestingness” page on Flickr for a given day. The video is a bit nuts and may cause headaches.
My video blogging week 2006 series has been viewed over 1000 times according to the server logs already and yet only like 3 people have commented! Too many damn closet reader/viewers out there! ;)

IKEA Catalogue Remix
Here’s Day 3 of my Video Blogging Week 2006 series.
In 2003 I got frustrated with the giant pile of IKEA catalogues in the mail room of my apartment building. So I decided to cut up an IKEA catalogue to make a collage out of it. I guess I was trying to convert my negative energy into something creative. That and I was in a very Fight Club mood. I recently found the scans of that collage on a long forgotten hard drive and I still think they’re interesting. I’m not sure I know what or if it means anything at all. Every piece came from one IKEA catalogue. Maybe you can tell me what it means to you. Or you can continue being the closet reader/viewer and not say anything like you always do…
