Not debatable: No WMD, 500 dead
Depending on one’s point of view and who you want to believe, the world is a safer place now, or not, and America did a noble thing by pre-empting an evil threat in Iraq, or not. These are debatable opinions.
However, what is not debatable is that no weapons of mass destruction have been found in Iraq, no connections in Iraq to the terrorists of 9/11 have been documented, 500 American soldiers are dead, thousands more are maimed for life, and President Bush has yet to attend a funeral of one of those young soldiers.
Maybe the Bush administration realizes that funerals are not very positive photo-ops and not many campaign contributors are found at these events. But this is only my opinion.
