When I came to visit this park with sculptures I was not expecting to see the Pokémon Go phenomenon. I had come here to have a look at the artwork and when I arrived I saw all these people staring at their phone playing Pokémon Go quietly. I was literally the only person in this whole park not playing the game or with someone playing. It was surreal and fascinating.
My friend Sam made this awesome jetfighter flash game that allows you to control the game by leaning left and right (using your webcam). If you’re viewing this in your rss reader you may have to visit the site to actually see the game. Or just go here.
Here is Sam’s description of the game:
“Jetfighter J is a first person flying/shooting game in which your goal is to shoot down UFOs and collect records in order to save rock and roll. As you fly through a 3D randomly-generated fractal terrain, you have to dodge enemy missiles and avoid crashing into obstacles. What sets this game apart from the standard shooter though is the ability to use your webcam to control the jet. As one of the first Flash games to make use of your body motion as input, you can steer around hills and trees by moving your body in front of the camera. You can also play with mouse controls if you don’t have a webcam. The soundtrack is by Montreal bands The Delegates and Hollerado, and Jamie and the Boyfriends from New York.”
