When I made this photo it appeared as though the streetlight was talking to the rainbow. It’s almost cartoonish.
I shot this in Melbourne, Australia on August 15th, 2010.
My wife Dorothy and I sat on this beach for two hours and hardly spoke a word as the sun set. Nothing needed to be said. It was a gorgeous evening.

We spent a month living on this island. It was an amazing experience and we we’re very lucky to get the chance to do this. I hope to go back some day. Photo taken on Boracay Island, Aklan, Philippines. July 8th, 2010.
Whilst walking on the beach I noticed these amazing sweeping rain clouds. There was also a small group of ladies casually floating around in the water. They looked so peaceful and may have even been sleeping because the ocean water is so warm here. It’s like bathtub warm. Photo taken on Boracay Island, Aklan, Philippines. July 8th, 2010.
Dorothy and I we’re driving the Great Ocean Road (the nicest drive I’ve ever done, even nicer than the Big Sur) and we noticed a Rainbow was forming below the horizon. So of course I pulled us over and snapped a few photos. It was one those little fleeting moments of magic. The rainbow was gone just a few seconds later. Photo taken on The Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia. August 21st, 2010. (This photo is the cover of Friday Mixtape 232)
