Being a Canadian in America, I am disgusted with the way this election has turned out. I can’t look at my colleagues in the eye this morning. I was running with a republican friend who was remarking about how clean the sky looked today, must be the rains she said. I can’t imagine how so many people can care so little about the poor, the environment, the relationships with the rest of the world, and about being involved in a war based on lies. I can’t imagine people voting for one man to represent all peoples based on their religious beliefs. I am moving back to Canada-as soon as it warms up.
What’s wrong with 51% of America, you mean? 49% of us think he’s the asshole that he is.
Yes, I’m sad and disillusioned right now. I strictly wore black today, to mourn the death of democracy in my nation. But let me tell you here and now- I will never accept Bush as my president. I never have, I never will…
And even though I’m an American expatriate here in Canada, I’m not giving up the fight.
