The Washington Post is putting out great quality content in High Def (720p) delivered as a video podcast. In other words a video podcast thats actually watchable on an Apple TV. iTunes/Apple TV pulls down HD content from the web and you watch it on your huge flatscreen TV…

You can use Google Reader to create a bookmark for your browser that knows what you want to read and whether or not you’ve read it. I’ve done this for the sites I read most often. I click one bookmark and it takes me to the new stuff on those sites. Not the feed items but the actual sites. Click it again and it takes me to the next new item on the next site and marks the item as read. There is something to be said for actually looking at the sites themselves and not in a feed reader.
Go to your Google Reader settings -> then goodies -> choose a tag that you’ve given to some of your feeds from the drop down menu -> drag it to your menubar -> click it. -> repeat

Hype Machine (redirects to the less friendly hype.non-standard.net)
It’s an aggregator for picking out music from all the best music blogs. I think everyone will eventually benefit from using some kind of custom noise filter like this. It will be some unique combination of passive filtering (last.fm, pandora, etc) and active filtering (hype machine, microformats, etc). The design will just fade into the background and you’ll be brought just the juicy bits (according to your taste) and that includes advertising. For now we can do this with text an audio but in the near future we’ll have the tools to do this for all forms of media on all platforms.

The geeks at Bloglines updated their hardware last night and its much zippier this morning. I just wish they’d update their crappy interface as well.
