Going Green, a meme worth spreading

If you haven’t already noticed there is a huge push going on right now from the green movement and I’m all over it like a fat kid on a smartie.

Inconvienient Truth
Al Gore’s new film An Inconvinient Truth is out. (trailer)

An Inconvenient Truth eloquently weaves the science of global warming with Al Gore’s personal history and lifelong commitment to reversing the effects of global climate change. A longtime advocate for the environment, Gore presents a wide array of facts and information in a thoughtful and compelling way. The film is not a story of despair but rather a rallying cry.

Who Killed the Electric Car?
Another film called Who Killed the Electric Car is out as well. (trailer)

It was among the fastest, most efficient production cars ever built. It ran on electricity, produced no emissions and catapulted American technology to the forefront of the automotive industry. The lucky few who drove it never wanted to give it up. So why did General Motors crush its fleet of EV1 electric vehicles in the Arizona desert?

Design E2
PBS just aired a series called Design E2. (trailer)

design:e2 (the economies of being environmentally conscious) is an original six-part series that explores the vitality of the environment through eco-friendly architecture. Narrated by Brad Pitt and masterfully shot in high-definition, the series introduces us to the inventive leaders and technologies driving sustainable practices worldwide in the design of buildings where we live, work, and play.

Tree Hugger TV
And my favorite video blog these days is TreeHugger TV (latest episode)

Dedicated to everything that has a modern aesthetic yet is environmentally responsible. In collaboration with our fine cadre of producers and editors, we’ll be putting out a weekly episode to brighten your day.

It’s a meme worth spreading. We can all make such a huge difference if we just take a little time to re-think and change the way we consume resources.

So do your part!!!

Go green and spread that meme.
