Skyscraping Skyscrapers
Sometimes you go out to shoot one thing and you end up getting something completely unexpected. In this case I was out early to shoot some fireworks and the weather did not look very cooperative. It did however create an interesting look as you can see in this photo. I think it turned out pretty well. Eventually the weather broke and I ended up making these Canada Day Fireworks Photos

Landing Gear Down
I’m a sucker for a nice sunset. In this case I was trying to line up the airplane coming in for a landing at YYZ with the top of the setting sun. I was off a little.

Glacier Point Tree
Every now and then you find yourself in a spectacular place and it’s easy to be overwhelmed. Such is the case at Glacier Point in Yosemite. If you’re out on the hunt to make nice photographs as I am here’s a little trick. In an overwhelmingly beautiful moment just try to pay attention to the little things. One way to do this yourself is to always look behind you. In this case this I looked behind me and then noticed this gorgeous little tree off to the side. And now this gorgeous tree will come with me forever. I don’t understand why but looking behind somehow grounds you in the moment. Or at least it does for me.

The Windows Arches National Park
Arches National Park is one of the most remarkable places I’ve ever seen. This is a panorama of several photos stitched together. On the last photo of the series I managed to capture a little kid joyously running (lower right).
