Solitary Islet

A lone pine rises from a rocky micro island just off Tremont Park Island near Gananoque, Ontario, surrounded by exceptionally clear St. Lawrence River water. Sunlight penetrates the shallows, revealing submerged stone and gentle current patterns that transition from warm amber tones to deep blue green. The elevated perspective emphasizes isolation, balance, and endurance within the Thousand Islands landscape. This photograph was shot by Duncan Rawlinson.
